Rupsades or Portuguese Candy

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of Granulated sugar|Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar|apple cider vinegar
  • Wax paper
  1. Boil all ingredients until it is thick and brandy color.
  2. Work small amounts on a cookie sheet to form rotini|twists and wrap in wax paper.
  3. You have to work fast because when it cools it will not be pliable.
  4. Be very careful this mixture is hot and can burn you
